Governance Framework
The Federation is managed by an elected Board of Directors and specialized committees that oversee standards, ethics, education, membership, and international relations. Our governance structure ensures democratic representation, accountability, and effective decision-making.
All activities are conducted in accordance with Iraqi laws and professional regulations, maintaining the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and professional conduct. The Board of Directors is elected by members and serves to represent their interests while advancing the profession.
Our governance model emphasizes collaboration, consultation, and engagement with members, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure that IFAA's activities serve the best interests of the profession and the public.
Specialized Committees
IFAA operates through specialized committees that focus on key areas of professional activity and development.
Develops and promotes professional standards, guidelines, and best practices that ensure quality and consistency across the profession. The committee works closely with regulatory bodies to align local standards with international best practices, ensuring that Iraqi professionals meet global expectations for quality and competence.
Ensures ethical conduct and handles disciplinary matters, maintaining the highest standards of professional behavior. The committee investigates complaints, enforces the code of ethics, and takes appropriate disciplinary action when necessary to protect the integrity of the profession and the public interest.
Oversees professional development programs and educational initiatives that enhance professional competence. The committee designs and implements training programs, CPD courses, and certification support to ensure members have access to the latest knowledge and skills required for professional excellence.
Manages membership processes, benefits, and member services to ensure excellent member experience. The committee reviews membership applications, develops member benefits programs, and works to enhance the value proposition of IFAA membership for all members.
Builds relationships with international professional bodies and organizations to advance global collaboration. The committee establishes partnerships with international accounting and auditing organizations, participates in global professional forums, and facilitates knowledge exchange and best practice sharing.
